GETTING LICENSED TO PRACTICE REAL ESTATE LEGALLY
 
 

Now on your path to learn more about real estate, you may have come to several conclusions.  You may just want to take a real estate course for your own education and do not want to obtain a license or you are truly serious about a possible career and want to take the course and pass the required state examination to obtain your license.

 
To get the Florida real estate license, you must:
1.      Take and pass a mandated 63 hour pre-license course. “Practice and Principles of Real Estate”.
2.      Make application and submit to a background check through the State
of Florida and upon approval, schedule and sit for the state license exam.
 
There are several options in taking the 63 hour pre-license course. You can do an on-line course; you can take a live course at the local College or you can take a six day “Fast Course” at our local Ocala office.

College of Central Florida This course covers the minimum essentials for the new practitioner. Required for all persons seeking real estate certification with the Florida Real Estate Commission.
